About UsThe Savidusky family began their fur business in Russia as “Costumers”. Their business was to manufacture and maintain fine garments and furs which were rented for functions of the rich and powerful. Evil times in Russia caused their escape from the country and their move to America. Friends from Russia led them to Wisconsin where Savidusky Brothers Cleaners and Dyers was born. After opening businesses in EauClaire, Stevens Point, and Portage, one brother, Phillip, and his Irish bride, Florence, moved to Madison, and started Savidusky’s Nulife Cleaners in 1924. In 1940, Jack Savidusky joined his parents and added fur manufacturing to the mix, and in 1982 Michael Savidusky bought the business from his father. Today, Julie and Mike Savidusky operate the business, with a continuing emphasis on service and quality. With an active customer base of over 3,000 people from across the nation, Savidusky’s continues to sell and service new and used furs and leathers, and provide expert service and care for fur and leathers of all types and ages. Along with jackets and coats, Savidusky’s also sell and service a full line of fur accessories from headbands and earmuffs to collars, cuffs, muffs, throws, pillows, scarves, and even real fur teddy bears. Savidusky’s has changed with the times, and now you can shop for new and used furs via the Internet, or take advantage of seasonal manufacturers’ trunk shows and sales in the salon. If you come to Savidusky’s, expect a warm welcome and friendly conversation. It’s old fashioned, but it’s the way it’s always been. If you do business via the Internet, you can expect the same fair and honest treatment that you would get in our shop. Welcome. |
